So we are back from our 2 week trip home to Vancouver. We’ll have lots of posts to follow as we took lots of pictures of all our favorite foods from back home.
As the main reason for this trip was to attend and participate in our friends wedding – here’s just a quick peek at some pictures from Olivia and Bryan’s wedding event at the Brock House in Jericho Park. Although we were rained out, spirits were high and drinks were flowing in happy celebration!

This was from another one of our friend Erich’s infamous BBQ’s where at least one victim finds themselves desperately drunk by the end of the evening. This is also one of my favorite pictures of our Costa Rican BFFs! Can you guess who in this picture got totally wasted by then end of the evening? (HINT: Look for Rolo the dude right smack dab in the middle!)

When Mama Rodrigo and Tita Lina came to town we went to the Doka Estates Coffee Plantation in Poas, Costa Rica. The ladies got a ton of coffee. I got high from eating too many of the free chocolate covered coffee beans they gave out to visitors.
Here are coffee beans being laid out to dry after they have been picked, processed and washed.

We were on route to the beautiful beaches in Manuel Antonio this past weekend, and we got to see a lot of crocodiles in their natural habitat up close and personal.
I’m not sure how natural the habitat is really, as all these crocodiles were lazing in this river located under the main road into Manuel Antonio. It would be like seeing a whole army of these massive creatures lounging under the Lion’s Gate Bridge back home in Vancouver!

For as long as we’ve been here, I will never get used to all the different types of ants you can find in Costa Rica. A part of me remains repulsed. But another part of me, after all these months, is still awestruck at how efficient and persistent ants truly are.
A poor little lizard died, stuck to a wall in the stairwell of our house. The ants ever efficient, devoured the poor bugger in 4 hours flat!
No trace of the lizard carcass was ever found.

This is the stone statue who rests on the corner of our office entryway . He’s pretty cool. He looks pretty mellow and seems to be chiseled from good quality stone and he even has a penis…haha…bet I just woke you up if you were falling asleep while reading this post! And now I bet you’re looking for it too! Dirty people
